Spring is in the air! It was a really beautiful day this fine April 1st. While typically known as April fools day, this first day of April we are bringing you a journey of fresh starts and renewal that is no joke!

I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Jim DiBlasi and his staff at Acworth Wellness and Club Reduce center last Fall when our own Real Women/Real Sexy cast member Brandi decided to make some health changes in her life at Dr. DiBlasi’s Club Reduce center. We follow Brandi as she goes through a 12 week program to lose weight and learn how to change the way she looks at her diet, exercise and overall lifestyle. Watching her was inspiring and amazingly educational for me. Brandi and I spend a great deal of time working together and I was astounded at the hard work and dedication she gave to this program and the support and encouragement that she received from the Club Reduce center’s staff and Dr. DiBlasi.

If you are considering making a dietary change in your life, there is no better time than now, at the beginning of this new Spring season of rebirth and rejuvenation. I truly believe this program at Club Reduce can change anyone’s life. I have a saying, “No one ages without aging.” It’s true that some have good genes and the process seems to happen slower or less dramatically over time. Especially in the Hollywood celebrity world. The media would have you believe that all the women you see in magazines, in the movies or on television are some group of mutated special race of women who have no lines, no wrinkles, no fat and no bags under their eyes. The truth? Most women over a certain age that look much younger than their years are more than likely getting some help somewhere from someone or something. NO ONE AGES WITHOUT AGING!!

The good news is, there are things that you can do to fight off or minimize the changes you see that bother you as you get a little older without making you look like a pulled, stretched, distorted version of yourself. 25 Days after Abdominoplasty Surgery at Blue MedSpa Cosmetic Surgery Center in Huntsville, Alabama

Every year I give myself two weeks to pig out and be a lazy bum. As soon as my kids get out of school for the holidays I let the diet go and overload on Christmas carbs. I try to watch what and how much I eat all year and I get to the gym on a regular basis. But, for those two weeks I don’t think about any of that! It’s part of my Christmas gift to myself. I always feel like a bloated mess by the end of it however. So when it’s done, I know I’ll be marching back into the overcrowded gym, with all the New Year’s resolution folks (it clears out after about a week). This year I have decided to try some different approaches to working out. Lets face it, the treadmill and lifting weights can get pretty boring.

Keeping with the theme of the show, I decided to seek out something that would be fun and a little sexy to do while getting your heart rate up a little. It could also be useful in the bedroom too!

Just like the episodes we’ve done in the past on fitness, this one is fun, different and a total workout. A little something out of the norm, which I think is always more fun!

I took Brandi, Toni and Joy with me to Saroya Belly Dancing at the Decatur School of Ballet.
We had a blast and Saroya and her teachers were very patient with us. We all came out of the class feeling sexy and well versed in angulation. This is definitely a class you can take with your girlfriends and have a blast!

I have the privilege, as a producer and writer, to come across some amazing people during the course of what I do. Because I talk and feature self empowerment and finding ways of making yourself feel and look good, many people share their stories of success, need and longing for the things they want in their life with me.

As many of you that watch my work know, I discuss cosmetic procedures often. I have put my own breast augmentation up for everyone to see. I have a strong belief that if you want to do something for yourself that makes you feel good and improves your self esteem that you should go for it! As long as you aren’t spending your kids college funds to do it, I see no harm in making changes where you want to that make you feel good about you!

I am working with Blue MedSpa and Cosmetic Surgery Center in Atlanta and Huntsville, Alabama. They asked me to follow and record Scott Cooper as he went through an incredible self journey and had his body transformed by the wonderful Dr. Larry Bundrick in the Huntsville location. Through the process I have become friends with Scott and have found his story inspiring and was extremely proud to be able to produce this series of 3 videos that follow him as he had excess skin removed after losing 150 pounds.

25 DAYS AFTER SURGERY

This is my story, a story of personal closure. Recently I chose to have an abdominoplasty at BLUE Cosmetic Surgery after many years of consideration. This has been a long road for me, ups and downs, physically and emotionally. I finally disciplined myself to eat right, exercise, and make the right choices to maintain my weight and a healthier lifestyle; however the damage was already done.

Join with me on my journey through my surgical process with fans of BLUE, friends, family and colleagues. This was a tough decision for me, filming that is; leaving myself open and vulnerable for all to see. I chose to share my transformation with you because you might have some questions, concerns or even may be considering cosmetic surgery yourself. It has been a great experience, and yes I would do it again! Not for vanity. Not for anyone; but for closure on a chapter of my life and the beginning of a new story.

At the end of the summer I received an invitation to put a team of the girls together to enter a mud marathon. I’ll be honest, I’d never even heard of mud marathons before, but after checking out the Rogue Runner website and seeing what it was all about I decided we would accept the challenge.

What is a mud run/marathon/race you ask? They are typically 5 or 10k races that involve, you guessed it, running through the mud! They include military style obstacles all along the way that make for a dirty, dirty good time! Individuals can enter to race them, but there is no way we could have gotten through Rogue Runners 10K, 31 obstacle course along West Point Lake in LaGrange Ga. without our amazing team. It was way more fun to swim, jump, run, wade and get down and dirty all together.

Come watch me, Brandi, Toni, April, Alex (yes, this once I allowed a fella to join the crew and thank god I did) Holly, Jody and Becca as we go through the race! We really are dirty girls!
